The folklore of the the Inuit people suggests labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) which hold a special place in my heart. My favourite myth comes from Finland where the story arose that the lights were caused by the Firefox who ran so fast across the snow that his tail caused sparks to fly into the night sky causing the Aurora.
