★★ Honouring the Goddess Hecate, energy of the Ocean Witch, Deep Ocean Magick, connecting to water spirits, empowering yourself, finding your way through troubled times, navigating uncertainty, connecting to ancient wisdom, Healing all wounds★★
★Scent - The deep ocean recesses, the font of all life and death, liminality; salts and mosses mixed with seaweed tones and a splash of delicious pear and other scents
Starry Temple Incense ★ Oceanic Temple of Goddess Hecate ★ “The Source of all things.” - has been designed to honour one of the most ancient and primal Goddesses.
The energetic temple built with the incense embodies Hecate in her guise as the Dark Goddess of the Depths of the Ocean and honours her as a Goddess of the Underworld, and source of all magick.
Hecate is considered to be a primal force, tied to the history of the Witches, and although is most famous in Greek mythology it is argued by many that she is infact far more ancient than this.
As a primal Goddess, Hecate influenced many areas of worship, and much like my personal relationship with the Goddess Morrigan, it is impossible to encompass this evocative Goddess in just one energy.
"I invoke you, beloved Hekate of the Crossroads and the Three ways, Saffron-cloaked Goddess of the heavens, the underworld, and the sea." - Orphic Hymn
As a Goddess of the Liminal, Hecate can be found in the in between spaces, and the deeper meditation showed a visualisation of three roads leading to the Crossroads; this particular energy is for the Ocean path and the Temple that lies therein.
The Ocean Temple is deep, dark, within the folds of the Ocean, where the last of the mysteries hold true; it is the unknowable force within this world. The energy resounds within Hecate as Dark Goddess, mother of monsters such as the Scylla, the depths of the psyche and the soul, the font and source of all things; life, knowledge, magick, death, and rebirth.
The visual in meditation for the Oceanic Temple of Hecate is of a stone font on the ocean floor; a basin for all magick. A sunken temple of sand worn stone, of Seaweed and all the creatures of the Depths.
Flashes of light illuminate it within the darkness, it is mystery wrapped into history, kept in the hands of the Ocean.
Created to honour Hecate as a Goddess of the Dark depths, and is perfect for connecting to Her, in her liminal rites, to initiate new beginnings within your life, and for delving into the mysteries of magick and your own inner psyche, and for the deepest healing:
The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears, or the sea - Isak Dinesen
The rich fresh and sea inspired aroma signifies her role as Queen of the Sea, and the Hecate incense is one of the 'complex' formulas which undergoes five stages of creation; thus the scent is deeper and longer lasting.
★ Pear in Witchcraft - The pear tree was also spoken of in Greece; in addition to Homer, Theophrastus, recognized as the greatest botanist of antiquity, reported the existence of many varieties of pear trees, both cultivated and wild, in his work Historia Plantarum. In Witchcraft many give pear the energy of love or lust spells, but its power goes beyond this - its folklore is tied to themes of the limits of our perception, the power to hypnotise or enchant, consequences for ones actions, and how one impacts the world around them.
★ Salt is also a powerful grounding and cleansing substance added for its universal energy of extracting excess water (and thus emotion) from a situation.
★ Seaweed in Witchcraft - used in fertility and abundance spells, seaweed is also said to ward off negative spirits or entities. You can connect deeply with Oceanic magick through its scent and energies.
