Introducing a new candle for starryeyedsupplies - I became obsessed with finding the “magical size” candle which was aligned with witchcraft and here it is - a 13cm tall pure soy candle made with mugwort oil and wildcrafted mugwort.
 
13 is meant to be the size of a witch coven in folklore.
 
Mugwort is the seer of the herb world - its spirit bestows second sight and unlocking prophetic wandering within the spiral of your psyche.
As we begin to turn inward in the dark half of the year we hear the call of the witch ways again - asking us to reclaim our power & magick. Mugwort flies us there on its silver wings.
 
Lessons of Mugwort

The Seers have long been subject to ridicule, relegated to the fringes and treated with contempt.

We've largely forgotten how to see.

Our other eyes get clogged by the lights shining into them at all hours and our ears full of mockery at those who shun the sight.

Mugwort is the plant of the Seers, blurring the boundaries and offering flight over the Hedge and far away.
It's risky in the Otherworld for the uninitiated - or the unprotected, and nothing marks quite like uncertainty or self-doubt.

Not seeing the Other would be tantamount to a death sentence - but then again, so would seeing too much.

There's old knowledge in the bones, in the cracks we slip through, in the misty liminal spaces - and we can delve into them again and again with Mugwort our friend - but be careful - there's forgotten dangers too.
