Temple of Dirt and Bone - Reclaiming Otherness The Temple of Dirt and Bone provides an energetic nexus that connects us to our inner wildness, our 'otherness' and reminds us of who we truly are, and more, who we can become if we just allow our passionate natures to drive us forwards. As a space, the Temple of Dirt and Bone manifests at the edge of a dark forest, in the liminal space, it was a crater within the Earth, carved of dirt, in which bones of animal and man were scattered, speaking of the passing of time, of life and death, and the energetic qualities of bone. Within the circle, the priestess (myself) sits, apparently haggered and wild, She is the 'Dark' and wild Goddess who shape shift into hag form to challenge the conceits of appearance and beauty equating to wholesome nature; with her clawed hands she sifts dirt between her fingertips, pulling up from the Earth to divine past, present, and future. The energy of Dirt and Bone seeks to connect you to these primal ways of thinking, feeling, and living, to sense the liminal nature of magick and the world. It is peering over the edge, knowing there is mystery, danger, and adventure, and placing your feet firmly on the dirt track below. It is refusing to be told who you truly are, or what you should be.
