The vampire continues to capture the imagination to this day, in tales of haunting gothic romances with souls searching for one another across time, to terrifying gory stalkers that embody the undead, and just about every flavour in between.
Vampires are the archetype of the cross-over in the human urge to understand death, sexuality, and the force of hunger that drives us - sometimes to obsession. As a result there's something of an exploration of the repressed desires of the self when looking at Vampire stories.
There is also the narrative of the psychic or physical drain that comes as a danger from vampires - a need to assert your boundaries and keep yourself contained (and safe) when venturing into psychic work (or indeed out into the night.)
Bite me, cherry much ★ is about exploring your own wants, needs and desires without shame. It helps put religious shame in the coffin (geddit) so you can explore your sensual sexual self. It's empowering, evocative and really does tap into that masquerading gothic dance vibration.
★ Cherry in Witchcraft - Cherry is a fascinating one in witchcraft because whilst the fruit is edible, the rest of the tree is toxic. This aligns it with relationships and sexual encounters very well because depending on how we're engaging it can harm or heal. Used in love rites, attraction and seduction.
★ Flame stone in Witchcraft - connected to the sacral, life-force, creativity and sexuality. Also good for clarity, truthfulness and finding your soul purpose.
