★ Goddess Morrigan, Shapeshifting, Spirit work, Flying over the hedge, astral projection, soul travel, meditation, psychic senses, deep communion with spirits ★

★Scent -Walnut, Dandelion, Burdock, Patchouli & a hint of Maple amongst other scents

This beautiful and complex scent range has been designed to honour The Goddess Morrigan in Her aspect of Shapeshifter. It can also be used for astral journeys, shapeshifting meditations, and inviting in change to your life.

The Morrigan is  described as “the shapeshifting Goddess” and “raven-caller” the Dindsenchas poem to Odras.

The shapeshifter aspect of The Morrigan is the one I find to be the most “Morrigan” if you can even describe it like that.

Ever changing, never fixed, eternal, nuanced and complex.

The  energy matrix is designed to take you on a soul journey - submerging into the Otherworld/Death as we shapeshift on Raven wings for soul travel.

The plants within are all singing songs of death, decay and otherness, so you perceive the world with your other eyes. Nothing is ever as it seems.

It is my belief that the core of the Goddess Morrigan is that of the Shapeshifter.
Whilst others might call Her a Goddess of War and Death (both of which I believe to be true,) it is within Her role as a shapeshifter that I believe Her true core self is revealed.

The Táin bó cuailnge (Cattle raid of Cooley) which the Morrigan is thought to have instigated – is the main source of Her shapeshifting myth, where She transforms into a She-Wolf, an Eel, a Heifer, and an Old Woman to test and hinder the warrior Cuchulain.
She is most regularly associated with a Crow or Raven as one of Her shapes also.

The Morrigan is change incarnate - She shapes the destiny of the Land and shifts the political and social shape of the culture of its people.
The Land and its ruler are directly tied together in the mythology, and as She holds power to depose a ruler, so she changes the shifting shape of the land.

I am
The Morrigan
I shift my shape
Elongate
A Ravens' claw
Extends in flesh
Whilst I unmake
The mortal mesh

★Walnut in Witchcraft - is a wonderful wish fulfilment spell ingredient, with the ability to increase mental and psychic awareness, and was supposedly a tree around which Witches would gather and dance for Sabbats! In folklore it was also believed that shapeshifting was a large part of Witches' rituals at these occasions.

★ Dandelion in Witchcraft - Dandelion is perhaps THE witches herb. Associated with Hecate and Mercury, it facilitates spirit communication and astral travel to the underworld. It is also connected to our psychic senses, allowing us to open up to the Spirits and energies of the Otherworld.

★Burdock in Witchcraft - a protective spirit who flushes out negativity. Used often in wards and the creation of magical barriers, so can protect you whilst you travel between realms (and their barriers.) It is also used to return negativity or malicious energy to sender.

★ Maple in Witchcraft - believed to repel evil spirits, Maple is a herb/tree of adaptability: "Much like humans, the maple leaves grow together, are taken on separate paths for a period of time, and return together as one. In one short year, the maple shows us the beauty of the life cycle. The process of dying for the maple leaf is not a sight of grim shadows, but a process of brilliant colors and captivating scents. The maple tree stands between the worlds of life and death, showing us the beauty in each." - Starlitforest

★ Patchouli in Witchcraft - Patchouli is considered a staple herb in Witchcraft for sexual rites, as an aphrodiasic and for raising the life force, for love magick, as well as for Earthing and grounding work. This makes it an ideal Witches herb as the parallel between the orgasmic and the raising of life force for spell work is rich in symbolism.
