The Washer at the Ford / Phantom aspect of The Morrigan is the spectral form of Prophecy, Death and Destruction.
To ignore Her warnings is to see your life brought to a close.
The power in this altar hanging is a thing to be felt to be believed - I only created two, this is the sister to the one that hangs above my altar.
Both have been dedicated to the Phantom Queen and crafted in sacred space.
Working with the Goddess Morrigan is not an easy task, but worthwhile. She has us confront ourselves time and again, our failings, our defeats, the moments of death within life that we all experience.
None of this is comfortable, but then, it is not meant to be.
It does shape us into Warriors of heart and soul though, tearing away the conditioning placed on us from birth so that we can discover who we truly are.
The Washer at the Ford cleans away all the dross from our lives, and from our inner selves.
She is the sharp pain at Death but also the release of Rebirth.
The bittersweet memory of passed on love ones as we grieve. The voice in the shadow whispering back at us that "You can go on, you can thrive, you can be victorious in the end. Keep on."
This altar hanging is a unique piece, with fabric to represent the bloody garb being washed at the ford. The figure for The Morrigan contains a wildcrafted ethically sourced crow skull and crow tail.
Within her fabric folds there are crow bones, crow feathers, a bell, and charms.
The figure measures 40cm in length, 60cm if you include the length of her fabric.
