The Morrigan ★ Washer at the Ford ★ Phantom figure candle

★ Honouring the Goddess Morrigan, Badb aspect, Washer at the Ford, Death & Rebirth, Prophecy, Death cycles within life, release of pain & trauma, helping with Grief cycles, Cursing and Binding ★

With a red cord around her neck with a wildcrafted Carrion crow spine bone around her neck:

“Ravens gnawing,

Men’s necks

Blood spurting,

In the fierce fray…”

-Poem to the Two Armies, Táin

The Washer at the Ford / Phantom aspect of The Morrigan is the spectral form of Prophecy, Death and Destruction.

To ignore Her warnings is to see your life brought to a close.

The power in this candle - I can’t even. She demanded it and here it is.

I will have nine available (nine sacred to The Morrigan).

They are grey soy wax candles with a poppy scent for death and remembrance.

Working with the Goddess Morrigan is not an easy task, but worthwhile. She has us confront ourselves time and again, our failings, our defeats, the moments of death within life that we all experience.
None of this is comfortable, but then, it is not meant to be.
It does shape us into Warriors of heart and soul though, tearing away the conditioning placed on us from birth so that we can discover who we truly are.

The Washer at the Ford cleans away all the dross from our lives, and from our inner selves.
She is the sharp pain at Death but also the release of Rebirth.
The bittersweet memory of passed on love ones as we grieve. The voice in the shadow whispering back at us that "You can go on, you can thrive, you can be victorious in the end. Keep on."
