★ Honouring the Goddess Morrigan, Badb aspect, Washer at the Ford, Death & Rebirth, Prophecy, Death cycles within life, release of pain & trauma, helping with Grief cycles ★

"We are all the moments of Death we carry with us." - Badb in meditation

Introducing a brand new candle to honour the Goddess Morrigan as the washer at the Ford - the spectral woman seen washing blood off a warriors armour that meant he was fated to die.

The candle mixes elements of a veiled phantom woman in mourning with blood and dirt on her veil.

The Morrigan insisted on this one being created.

"I have felt the deep stillness upon me of late, the urge to be silent, and watch, and wait. Submerged in the Other essence that laps around me, flowing out Deathwards and circling my frame. The currents speak of cycles reborn, of blood washing clean of generational wounding, or Prophecy in the water. I lay here like an unborn thing, brazen in my innocence, open to a chasm of secrets; knowing the gulf of nothingness that is the curve of the Ravens' inner eyes peeking inward, piercing flesh and bone made gateways. Mother is cawing from the inside." - Embodying the Washer at the Ford Joey Morris, Blog

Working with the Goddess Morrigan is not an easy task, but worthwhile. She has us confront ourselves time and again, our failings, our defeats, the moments of death within life that we all experience.
None of this is comfortable, but then, it is not meant to be.
It does shape us into Warriors of heart and soul though, tearing away the conditioning placed on us from birth so that we can discover who we truly are.

The Washer at the Ford cleans away all the dross from our lives, and from our inner selves.
She is the sharp pain at Death but also the release of Rebirth.
The bittersweet memory of passed on love ones as we grieve. The voice in the shadow whispering back at us that "You can go on, you can thrive, you can be victorious in the end. Keep on."
